Role Overview
The Regional Account Director is a key member of the market access field team responsible for advancing institutional access, operational integration, and unlocking growth opportunities for GRAFAPEX within priority hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) programs across academic medical centers and health systems within an assigned geography.
The Regional Account Director leads the structured engagement progression and account level strategy which may include; P&T engagement and formulary approval, operational readiness, appropriate patient identification, and sustained integration into institutional protocols. In the highly specialized transplant setting, this role engages with multidisciplinary institutional stakeholders to ensure alignment across clinical, operational, and financial processes.
The Regional Account Director partners cross-functionally to execute enterprise-defined strategy, address institutional barriers, and maintain disciplined visibility into account progression across high-impact HSCT centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead account level commercial strategy for priority HSCT programs and health systems, advancing institutions through defined lifecycle stages and maintaining visibility into account status, barriers, and risks.
- Apply market access expertise, including healthcare economics, reimbursement pathways, hospital decision frameworks, and approved value tools to address access, reimbursement, and adoption barriers.
- Develop and maintain structured account plans for assigned priority HSCT aligned with brand strategy and company priorities, and lead account reviews with clear updates on progression, barriers, and next steps.
- Execute against established enterprise lifecycle metrics and provide timely account updates that support forecasting and strategic planning.
- Engage multidisciplinary institutional stakeholders across hospital transplant program leadership, hematology/oncology physicians, pharmacy leadership, clinical operations leaders, finance, and revenue cycle teams to support institutional alignment and integration into transplant workflows.
- Engage and educate key stakeholders, including Pharmacy Directors, BMT/Oncology Pharmacists, Finance Leaders, and C-suite executives, on the clinical value, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and overall value proposition of GRAFAPEX, developing and strengthening institutional relationships across clinical, pharmacy, administrative functions, and senior level executives.
- Lead post-approval formulary activation to support operational implementation, coordinating internal resources to support onboarding, protocol incorporation, workflow alignment, and sustained institutional integration.
- Lead cross-functional engagement with institutional stakeholders to support formulary evaluation, identifying and addressing operational, administrative, reimbursement, and access barriers affecting appropriate utilization.
- Support pharmacy ordering and stocking processes within assigned institutions.
- Collaborate with National Account Directors and support engagement with regional payers, PBMs, GPOs, and State Medicaid programs in alignment with field market access strategy.
- Partner with Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Commercial Strategy, and Leadership to ensure aligned institutional strategy and effective execution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of account plans, stakeholder engagement, and lifecycle progression, while sharing institutional insights to support broader strategic planning.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in oncology or hematology institutional market access, specialty pharmaceutical field roles, or hospital-based account management.
- HSCT or transplant experience strongly preferred. Experience working within academic medical centers also preferred.
- Market access experience supporting regional payers and or State Medicaid programs is a plus.
- Experience navigating hospital formulary processes, institutional reimbursement pathways, or health economics and value communication required.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence multidisciplinary stakeholders across complex health systems, including clinical, pharmacy, administrative, financial, and operational leaders.
- Proven ability to influence and align cross functional stakeholders without direct authority, using strong interpersonal, communication, and emotional intelligence skills to mobilize internal teams and resolve complex institutional access challenges.

- Base salary range: $190,000-$240,000 USD

Compensation
$190,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
